Canadian Cardiovascular Society

Trainee Review Programs (TRPs)

Through the work of the Canadian Cardiovascular Society (CCS) Trainee Committee, CCS trainees identified the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC) examination preparation as a critical milestone in the transition from “school to work”. Hence the CCS/CCSA Canadian Cardiovascular Society Academy Trainee Review Programs (TRPs) were established.

Program Benefits

The TRPs provide trainees with realistic exposure to the examination process and offer an opportunity for feedback from faculty. It places their knowledge and exam writing skills to the test and provides them with an overview of all aspects of the exam. In addition, they have the opportunity to network with program faculty and fellow trainees from across Canada.

It was a fantastic course. Very long and tiring but completely worth it. The OSCE was definitely worth doing and has given me areas to focus on and shown my weaknesses. […] Thank you for taking the time to organize such a worthy course.”

Thank you very much for this amazing experience and opportunity. This was a fantastic review course that provided a great opportunity for self-testing to identify areas of weakness to focus studying. It also provided amazing learning resources which will be great for review as we approach the exam. The faculty were extremely generous with their time and feedback. Would recommend to colleagues without reservation.
