COVID-19
The CCS has been a strong advocate of maintaining quality cardiac care services throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. As part of our advocacy efforts we:
- prioritized the full vaccination of health-care workers (letter to leaders and decision-makers; federal Health Committee testimony);
- highlighted the consequences COVID-19 has had on cardiovascular care and proposed solutions (federal Health Committee brief; federal Health Committee testimony);
- offered information, support, advice, and solidarity in the government’s pandemic-response (letter to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau)
These efforts were complemented by our COVID-19 Challenge for Canada Initiative (C3i).
