Canadian Journal of Cardiology
The Canadian Journal of Cardiology (CJC) is an international, peer-reviewed journal that disseminates new knowledge in cardiology and cardiovascular science. It is the preferred peer-reviewed publication for Canadian cardiovascular medicine, and it publishes original reports of clinical and basic research relevant to cardiovascular medicine, as well as editorials, review articles, and case reports. The CJC is an official journal of the Canadian Cardiovascular Society and a companion title to CJC Open and CJC Pediatric and Congenital Heart Disease.
Accessing CJC articles published after 2006
Most CCS members are entitled to a free electronic subscription to the CJC. This includes access to full-text articles published from 2006 to present on www.onlinecjc.ca. Activate your free CJC Online subscription by logging into your CCS account and updating your ‘Professional Profile’.

It is the preferred open-access peer-reviewed publication for Canadian cardiovascular medicine, and it publishes original reports of clinical and basic research relevant to cardiovascular medicine, as well as editorials, review articles, and case reports. It offers a unique category for case-based review articles and has an interest in sex and gender-based studies. CJC Open is an official journal of the Canadian Cardiovascular Society and a companion title to the Canadian Journal of Cardiology and CJC Pediatric and Congenital Heart Disease.

Go to www.onlinecjc.ca
Click Register in the banner at the top right of the screen- If you have previously registered, click Sign In
- If you are not registered, complete the account registration form
- Claim Online Access
Click Claim in the banner on the top right of the screen- Check the box “I receive my subscription through a society membership”
- Enter your CJC Subscription Number* and Last Name
- Click Activate Claim
* Your subscription reference number will be emailed to you from Elsevier. If you are unable to locate this number, please contact membership@ccs.ca.
