About Us

Vascular quality of care – most notably peripheral artery disease care – must become a priority at the national level. The time for a national organization with a focus on the medical aspects of
vascular care has come. The new Canadian Society of Vascular Medicine, which has recently been recognized as an affiliate organization of the Canadian Cardiovascular Society, is now
accepting members.

The CSVM aims to advance the health of patients with or at risk for vascular disease through education, research, policy, advocacy, and community engagement. The Society promotes excellence in medical care for arterial, venous, and lymphatic diseases of all etiologies and ensures close collaboration with diverse surgical and medical specialties. The CSVM seeks to advance the training of vascular medicine practitioners by facilitating specific vascular medicine education and maintaining a high standard of practice within clinical vascular care.

The mission of the CSVM is to improve the health for all patients with or at risk for vascular disease and to support vascular medicine practitioners in the delivery of this care.
