Apply today to be part of our <a href=\"https:\/\/ccs.ca\/board-of-directors\/\"><strong>Board of<br>Directors<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We\u2019re accepting applications for the following positions (2024-2026 term):<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/ccs.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/VP_BODRole.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Vice President<\/a><\/strong> (President-Elect)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>One<strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/ccs.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/Board-Member-Role-ENG-2023.pdf\">Board Member<\/a><\/strong> for each region: Atlantic and Qu\u00e9bec<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Note: You can nominate yourself or a fellow CCS member<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>The CCS is committed to diversity, equity and inclusion. We\u2019re seeking individuals who reflect<br>the broadest range of CCS membership, including, but not limited to, diversity of leadership experience,<br>geography, gender, generation, cultural heritage and professional sub-speciality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/ccs.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/Mandate_BOD-Feb24.pdf\"><strong>Mandate<\/strong> <\/a>for the CCS Board of Directors (BOD) and the<strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/ccs.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/CCS_Plan-on-a-Page_fnl2.pdf\">CCS strategic plan<\/a><\/strong> offer insight into CCS<br>priorities for the coming years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We strongly recommend that all applicants have previous experience volunteering with the CCS, for<br>example, having served on at least one CCS standing committee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-vivid-red-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-d6696e9e64b3ddf3b5d8ce4c5e0c6cab\" class=\"wp-block-heading has-vivid-red-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-d6696e9e64b3ddf3b5d8ce4c5e0c6cab\" id=\"submission-requirements\"><strong>Submission requirements<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Each application must include the following. All materials must be submitted in the portal by the deadline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Nomination form<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Letter of support<\/strong>. A short letter (no more than two pages) outlining how you believe the nominee will be able to contribute.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Conflict of interest (COI) disclosure<\/strong>. Each nominee must submit or update a COI disclosure questionnaire for the fiscal year April 2024- March 2025.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>\u202fPersonal statement<\/strong> that identifies and addresses one critical issue facing the CCS. The personal statement is given considerable weight in the selection process.\u202f<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Up-to-date, brief CV <\/strong>of no more than 10 pages.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link has-vivid-red-background-color has-background wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/my.ccs.ca\/CCSMembers\/CCSMembers\/MemberOnly\/CallForBoard\/CallForBoard.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Apply Now!<\/strong><\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-vivid-red-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-c6aa4740bac4c052626d5ba8968af646\" class=\"wp-block-heading has-vivid-red-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-c6aa4740bac4c052626d5ba8968af646\" id=\"selection-and-notification\"><strong>Selection and notification<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>All submissions will be received and reviewed by the CCS Governance Committee. Recommendations will be presented to the CCS Council at the May Council meeting, for final approval.
