You are invited to participate in a research study entitled “Goals of Care and Advance Care Planning in Cardiology: The Canadian Experience.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During a serious cardiac illness, physicians should evaluate goals of care, review pre-existing advance care planning, and discuss prognosis with the patient. Unfortunately, sometimes certain pathways of care are assumed instead of deliberately discussed. A better understanding of these processes will help define the issue and identify targets for systematic improvement initiatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
