Motivated by a deep commitment to improving Canadian cardiovascular healthcare, Dr. Sapp views his involvement with the CCS as a way to contribute to this goal. His passion lies in treating heart rhythm disorders, where he specializes in interventional treatments such as complex ablations and managing life-threatening cardiac arrhythmias. For Dr. Sapp, the reward of treating arrhythmias extends beyond patient outcomes; inspiring and energizing the care teams involved.

Throughout his distinguished career, Dr. Sapp has witnessed significant advancements in cardiovascular care. From breakthroughs in coronary disease interventions and heart failure treatments, to improvements in heart rhythm management, including implantable devices and catheter ablation techniques. He remains in awe of the field’s continuous progress.

Outside of his professional life, Dr. Sapp spends his free time near the ocean. During the summer, he can be found sailing, enjoying the beauty and calmness of the water.

As a CCS Board Director, Dr. Sapp intends to champion initiatives that advance cardiovascular health, foster collaboration, and inspire excellence in care.
