The Canadian Cardiovascular Society is thrilled to present the launch of our new ‘Amyloid Education Series.’ With an aim to address the challenges posed by amyloid, this program will provide practical knowledge and tools that will empower healthcare professionals to effectively diagnose and manage patients with amyloid-related conditions. This webinar is the second session of the program.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Recognize the unique clinical presentation and risk factors of cardiac amyloidosis in diverse populations in Canada, including the black population.
  2. Analyze the role of genetic testing and counselling in the screening and management of cardiac amyloidosis, with a focus on supporting patients and their families.
  3. Integrate multidisciplinary approaches, including neurological expertise, to optimize the diagnosis and management of cardiac amyloidosis and its associated complications in diverse populations.
