About the Heart Failure (HF) e-Guidelines

The Heart Failure (HF) e-Guidelines are based on the 2017 Heart Failure Guidelines Update as published in the CJC and are a comprehensive set of recommendations that integrates and updates the last decade of CCS Heart Failure Guidelines. The CCS gratefully acknowledges the generous volunteer contributions of the many primary and secondary panel members, organizations and individuals involved in the Heart Failure Guidelines Program. Please see HF Panel Members 2006-2017 for a complete list of authors.

CCS Guideline Development Process

The CCS has developed specific policies and procedures to ensure that our guidelines are high quality and transparent. Guideline development is overseen by the CCS Guidelines Committee and guideline topic development is undertaken by a multidisciplinary panel of topic experts. CCS follows the AGREE II Instrument as an overarching methodology and has adopted the GRADE Scale for rating the strength of recommendations and the quality of evidence.
