Air Quality Advisor

The CCS Air Quality Advisor is designed to help you understand how air quality can affect your health, and how you can protect yourself when air quality is poor. It uses a scale of 1-10+ to indicate potential health risk and to recommend actions for reducing risk.

Wildfire smoke is a complex mixture of fine particulate matter (PM2.5) and gases, such as carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxides, and volatile organic compounds. The mixture can change depending on the fuels, the weather, and distance from the fire.

Different people respond differently to wildfire smoke, and some people are at higher risk of experiencing health effects.
