CCS Accreditation for Co-developing a Symposium at CCC
Accredited symposia are an essential part of the official program of the Canadian Cardiovascular Congress (CCC) that enhances delegates’ educational experience. Accredited symposia showcase Canada’s best research and promote learning through late-breaking and featured clinical trials and lively debates.
All accredited symposia presented at CCC are co-developed and accredited for Royal College Section 1 credits, American Medical Association PRA 1 Credits and UEMS ECMEC Credits. The content presented is reviewed to ensure that it is valid, objective, balanced and clinically relevant for cardiovascular health care workers.
Follow these steps to co-develop an accredited symposium at CCC:

|Step 2||The CCS reviews all of the accredited symposia requests, assigns timeslots, and assigns a CCS Representative to sit on the accredited symposium planning committee.||CCS Quality CPD Checklist for Educational Activity Proposals|
|Step 3||The CCS will contact the proposer to discuss the development of a grant request for program funding.|
|Step 4||Once the grant request is approved, The CCS develops program content and oversees program deliverables and ensures program adherence to relevant Section 1 or 3 accreditation standards. The CCS also oversees the deliverables and dissemination of the program.|
|Step 5||The proposer receives the following:|
1) regular updates on the progress of the development of the program.
2) appropriate acknowledgement for their support.
3) post-program report outlining the success of the program and budget reconciliation.
4) how the CCS will promote the program using the appropriate mediums.
For a co-developed education program, the CCS applies a 15% administration fee based on the total program expenses.
