We’re accepting applications for the following positions (2022-2024 term):
- Vice President (President-Elect)
- One Board Member for each region: Atlantic Canada, Québec, Ontario, and Western Canada
- Director at Large

The CCS is committed to diversity, equity and inclusion. We’re seeking individuals who reflect the broadest range of CCS membership, including, but not limited to, diversity of leadership experience, geography, gender, generation, cultural heritage and professional sub-speciality.
We’re especially interested in candidates with expertise in the following areas:
- Business development
- Principles of equity, diversity and inclusion
- Leadership development/mentorship
- Continuing professional development
- Advocacy
The Mandate for the CCS Board of Directors (BOD) and the CCS strategic plan offer insight into CCS priorities for the coming years.
We strongly recommend that all applicants have previous experience volunteering with the CCS, for example, having served on at least one CCS standing committee.
Submission requirements
Each application must include the following. All materials must be submitted by the deadline.
- Nomination form
- Letter of support – a short letter (no more than two pages) outlining how you believe the nominee will be able to contribute
- Conflict of interest (COI) disclosure – each nominee must submit or update a COI disclosure questionnaire for the fiscal year April 2022 – March 2023
- Personal statement that identifies and addresses one critical issue facing the CCS – the personal statement is given considerable weight in the selection process
- Up-to-date, brief CV of no more than 10 pages
Selection and notification
All submissions will be received and reviewed by the CCS Governance Committee. Recommendations will be presented to the CCS Council at the May Council meeting, for final approval. All nominees will be notified of the outcome of the selection process by July 1, 2022.
The deadline for submissions is May 9, 2022, at 17:00 Eastern time.
