Effective health policy has the potential to improve standards of care and patient outcomes across Canada. At the Canadian Cardiovascular Society (CCS), the development of health policy is a priority area. By engaging with a wide range of stakeholders – around issues concerning quality, access and appropriateness of care – the CCS plays a strong role in influencing policy for cardiovascular health in Canada.
This section contains information about areas of health care that the CCS is actively engaged in to bring awareness and improvements to Canadian health policies. Our aim is to engage in initiatives and programs that will have a positive impact and improve patient outcomes for cardiovascular care across Canada.
Our programs and initiatives are shaped by the interest of CCS members and our focus is determined by the CCS Executive. The CCS membership provides tremendous leadership and countless volunteer hours to help shape Canadian health policy.
