Quality Care

Effective policy related to health care quality has the potential to improve standards of care and patient outcomes across Canada. At the Canadian Cardiovascular Society (CCS), the development of evidence-based programs and initiatives that contribute to the advancement of cardiovascular health is a priority area. By engaging with a wide range of stakeholders around issues concerning quality, access and appropriateness of care, the CCS plays a strong role in influencing policy for cardiovascular health in Canada.

Our quality programs, initiatives and related advocacy activities focus largely on effective and sustainable improvement of cardiovascular care across Canada, and are shaped by the interest of CCS members, with our strategic focus determined by the CCS Council. The CCS membership provides tremendous leadership and countless volunteer hours to help shape Canadian health policy.

If you have questions or comments on our quality programs and initiatives, please email us at healthpolicy@ccs.ca.
